We have conducted a full COVID-19 risk assessment, in accordance with UK Government "Visitor Economy" and HSE guidelines. We will also be taking into account advice issued by Public Health England, the Local Director of Public Health, and the local authority in the run up to the event.
You can read or download the Risk Assessment, using the link below.
Please note that the assessment and plans may be subject to revision in the light of changing circumstances
We will be issuing shortened guides and checklists to our club stand exhibitors and also instructions to individuals displaying vehicles.
This page gives a brief overview of some of the planned measures.
We have signed-up to the Visit England scheme and been certified as meeting the new industry standard.
As part of the scheme, we have committed to adhering to Government guidelines on social distancing, cleanliness and contact tracing.
An ‘alert’ system ensures that we will be notified if there are changes to the official guidance.
A call-handling service from Visit England provides support and assessors may carry-out random spot-checks to ensure our event is adhering to the guidance.
To comply with social distancing, audience management and NHS Test and Trace, it is likely that entry to the 2022 event will be by advance ticket only, purchased online. Tickets can be purchased now, using the button below.
We have plenty of space to manage quite large numbers without any crowding but, if necessary, we will restrict ticket sales to ensure adequate social distancing during the event.
The event will operate with a 2 metre social distancing rule, notwithstanding the UK Government's recent change to "1 metre plus".
All displays and vehicles will be arranged with adequate space to allow you to see them, whilst maintaining a safe 2 metre social-distancing gap.
There will be hand sanitising points at the entrance gate and at clearly marked key locations across the site.
Please make regular use of the hand sanitising facilities.
There will be an enhanced cleaning regime for toilets, right through the day.
Toilet units themselves will be single cubicles, spaced apart and positioned across the site.
This year, everything will be outdoors.
There may be some open-sided shelters and traders and exhibitors may use gazebos or similar canopies, but there will be no temporary buildings, caravans or enclosed marquees.
The showground will be laid out to allow you to move comfortably through the displays and stands, via a one-way system. There will still be time and space to stop and admire the exhibits whilst keeping a safe gap.
The layout will be planned to avoid pinch points and queuing. There will be separate entrance and exit gates.
To minimise the risk of transfer via physical contact, there will be a "no touching" rule when it comes to exhibits.
Please feel free to have a close look, but do not touch the vehicles or other exhibits.
Please bring a blanket or lightweight, portable chair to sit on. There will be very limited - and socially distanced - tables and chairs at the venue this year.
There will be zones marked out where you can sit on the grass to eat, close to the catering points and bars.
Please bring payment cards and use contactless payment wherever possible, in order to minimise the use of cash.
